The “Member Area” of our website is currently under construction. Please see membership information below and feel free to contact Kristen Kasner at Kristen.Kasner@UnityPoint.org with any membership questions.
Thank you for your patience.

The chapter was established in 2012 and continues to grow through action by our members.
You will find information about meetings and other items related to being a member below.

• Regular meetings occur monthly on the 4th Thursday of the month.
• Meeting time is 8:30 to 9:30 am. Additional meetings may be scheduled if needed.
November’s meeting date is usually altered due to Thanksgiving.
• Meetings are held via Microsoft Teams.
Since membership spans across Iowa, multiple groups meet in a convenient location and call into the meetings together.  Please ask where a group near you gathers.  Of course, you may join on your own from your office, home, or car as well, but building relationships and networking with IAPSAC members is always encouraged.
• Prior to each meeting, members receive an agenda, the previous meeting minutes, and a Microsoft Teams link.
• Members should attend the annual member meeting in March and are encouraged to attend all regular meetings.

Our website, iapsac.org, has updated information on conferences and trainings as well as other valuable information.

The IAPSAC newsletter was enjoyed by our members for many years.  Due to the popularity and ease of social media, the final edition of iAPSAC News posted in December 2020.  You may still see previous editions here.

One of the active committees of IAPSAC is the Safe Sleep Task Force (SSTF). The task force is working on increased education about infant safe sleep environments as well as providing all infants with a safe place to sleep.

IAPSAC also has an additional subcommittee that completed a position paper in 2018. The topic of the position paper was the use of corporal punishment in Iowa. If you are interested in joining any subcommittee, please let us know.
